for a science experiment, kelly pours alcohol into a cylindrical beaker. The beaker is 6 cm talls and has a radius of 0.5 cm. Kelly fills the cylinder with alcohol, to a height of 5 cm . what is the appropriate volume kelly will use in the experiment

The alcohol is poured to a height of 5 cm.

So the volume utilized in the experiment will be equal to the volume occupied by the alcohol in the beaker.

This can be calculated as,


\begin{gathered} V=\pi r^2h \\ V=\pi(0.5)^2(6) \\ V=1.5\pi \\ V\approx4.7 \end{gathered}

Thus, Kelly will use approximately 4.7 cubic centimeters in the experiment.
