Area of the room is found by multiplying 19 feet with 16 feet (the dimensions).

Thus,

Area of Room

19 * 16 = 304

To find the number of people we can accomodate, we can use the following equation:

Number of People = Area of Room/ Area every person occupies

It is given that 13 square feet is the LEAST space someone needs. They can take more. So, to maximize the number of people, we have to minimizei the area.

The least area is 13 sq feet, so let's divide:

Number of People = 304/13 = 23.38

We can't accomodate fractional people(!), so the answer is 23 people.

Answer (max people):

23 people
