1) Note that we'll make use of the following formulas:


\begin{gathered} r^2=x^2+y^2 \\ r^2=3^2+0^2 \\ r^2=9 \\ \sqrt[]{r}=\sqrt[]{9} \\ r=-3,3 \\ r=3 \end{gathered}

So the radius according to the text must be positive, so we can discard the negative value.

2) Now the angle theta:


\tan (\theta)=(y)/(x)=(0)/(3)=Undefined

Since this is undefined, we can state that

P(3,0)
