A squid moves through the water by ejecting water out of its body into thesurrounding water. When the water is pushed out, the ejected water pushesback and thrusts the squid forward.ejectedwatermotion11Which of Newton's laws of motion best applies to a squid's movementthrough water?Аfirst law of motion (law of inertia)Bsecond law of motion (law of force and acceleration)сthird law of motion (law of action and reaction)Dfourth law of motion (law of balanced forces)

When the squid ejects water this creates a force that in turn must have an equivalent force in the opposite direction associated to it. Therefore, the law taht best applies here is Newton's third law of motion (law of action and reaction).
