And the surface area of a sphere is given as;


A_(sphere)=4\pi* r^2

Given the radius r, of the circle as 8cm and pie = 3.14;


\begin{gathered} A_(sphere)=4*3.14*8^2 \\ A_(sphere)=4*3.14*64 \\ A_(sphere)=803.84\operatorname{cm}^2 \end{gathered}

The area of the sphere is 803.84 square centimeters

But to the nearest tenth, the area of the sphere 803.8 square centimeters
