To find the midpoints, we will use the formula below:

(x_m,y_m)=((x_1+x_2)/(2),\text{ }(y_1+y_2)/(2))

The points given are:

Q(5,5) R(1,3)

The coordinates are:

x₁= 5 y₁=5 x₂=1 y₂=3

substitute the values into the formula and evaluate

(x_m,y_m)=((5+1)/(2),\text{ }(5+3)/(2))
=((6)/(2),\text{ }(8)/(2))
=(3,\text{ 4)}

Hence the coordinates of the midpoints are (3, 4)
