Total Amount of Candy = 4/3rd pound

Sharing among "3" people {Yajaira and 2 of her friends].

To get the amount, in pounds, each person gets, we divide the total amount by "3". Shown below:

\begin{gathered} ((4)/(3))/(3) \\ =((4)/(3))/((3)/(1)) \\ =(4)/(3)*(1)/(3) \\ =(4*1)/(3*3) \\ =(4)/(9) \end{gathered}

Thus, each person gets 4/9 pound of candies.
