m=4/1
slope is rise over run
-3+(6)=3
7-(24)=-17
so 24/6=8/2=4/1
so 4/1 is the slope

Answer:

m = -4

Explanation:

Pre-Solving

We are given a table of coordinate points, all of which are on a line.

We want to find the slope (m) of this line.

To do that, we can use the formula
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1), where
(x_1,y_1) and
(x_2,y_2) are points.

We can pick any 2 points on the line to use, however let's go with (-5, 15) and (-3, 7).

Let's label the values of these points.

x_1=-5\\y_1=15\\x_2=-3\\y_2=7

Solving

Let's plug these values into the formula.

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

m=(7-15)/(-3--5)

We can simplify the denominator:

m=(7-15)/(-3+5)

m=(-8)/(2)

m = -4
