Multiplying 0.48 by 0.48 we have:

1. Multiply 48 by 48 (Without considering the decimal point)

4 8

2. Given that 0.48 has two decimals we would have 4 decimals in the operation. Then, we are going to move the decimal point 4 positions to the left from the right side of the last digit of the previous result. Doing so, we have:
