R(-9, 4) and S(2, -1); Find T.

we know that

The formula to calculate the midpoint between two points is equal to

M((x1+x2)/(2),(y1+y2)/(2))

In this problem we have

(x1,y1)=R(-9,4)

(x2,y2)=S(2,-1)

substitute the given values in the formula above

\begin{gathered} M((-9+2)/(2),(4-1)/(2)) \\ M(-3.5,1.5) \end{gathered}

therefore

point T(-3.5,1.5)
