We have the expression:


\mleft(-4x-10\mright)+(6x-10)

We can simplify this by adding xs and adding numbers separately.

The steps are shown below:


\begin{gathered} (-4x-10)+(6x-10) \\ =(-4x+6x)+(-10-10) \\ =(2x)+(-20) \\ =2x-20 \end{gathered}
