Let L be the number of push-ups that Luke can do, then we can set the following equation:

L+(L)/(3)=60

Solving for L we get:

\begin{gathered} L+(L)/(3)=60 \\ 3L+L=180 \\ 4L=180 \\ L=(180)/(4)=45 \end{gathered}

Therefore, Luke can do 45 push-ups.
