x+y=-7

the x and y intercept can be found when the other variable is equal to 0.

in this case the x-intercept can be found when y=0.

\begin{gathered} x+y=-7 \\ x+0=-7 \\ x=-7 \end{gathered}

this means that the ordered pair for the x-intercept is (-7,0)

then for the y-intercept , it can be found when x=0.

\begin{gathered} x+y=-7 \\ 0+y=-7 \\ y=-7 \end{gathered}

the ordered pair for the y-intercept is (0,-7)
