Ok, we are going to calculate the volumes of the cans by separate, and next we are going to subtract them.

The volume formula is:

V=\pi r^2\text{ h}

Volume of first can:

Diameter: 3.5

Remeber that the radius is the half of diameter.

Radius: 1.75

Height: 1.25

V=\pi\cdot1.75^2\cdot1.25\text{ =3.828125}\pi

Volume of second can:

Radius: 1.2

Height: 1.25

V=\pi(1.2)^2\cdot1.25\text{ =1.8}\pi

Now subtract them.

3.828125\pi-1.8\pi=2.028125\pi
