lee and gary visited south korea. they exchanged their dollars for south korean bills. lee received 15 ten thousand south korean bills. Gary recevied 150 thousad bills. use disks or numbers on a place value chart to compare lee's and gary money.

let's use a chart with columns for the units, tens, hundreds, thousnads, etc. in order to compare these values.

Notice that since Gary received 15 bills each of 10,000 Korean money, then he got:

15 x 10,000 = 150,000 in Korean money

Gary received 150 of the thousand bills so he got:

150 x 1,000 = 150,000 Korean money

These put into a chart gives:
