Let the length be represented by L

And the width be represented by w

A=l* w

Given:

\begin{gathered} l=(25)/(8)\text{inches} \\ w=(24)/(5)inches \\ A=l* w \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} A=l* w \\ A=(25)/(8)*(24)/(5) \\ A=(600)/(40) \\ A=15in^2 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the area of the rectangle is 15 square inches.
