Let:


\begin{gathered} x=19-3y_{\text{ }}(1) \\ 2y+3x=22_{\text{ }}(2) \\ \end{gathered}

Replace (1) into (2):


\begin{gathered} 2y+3(19-3y)=22 \\ 2y+57-9y=22 \\ -7y=-35 \\ y=(-35)/(-7) \\ y=5 \end{gathered}

Replace the value of y into (1):


\begin{gathered} x=19-3(5) \\ x=19-15 \\ x=4 \end{gathered}
