We have a square with side y

we are told that ewach side is increase by 5 units

then the new side is

y+5

now, the area pf the square is a^2

thus

A=(y+5)^2

Given the following formula

(a+b)^2=(a^2+2ab+b^2)

Reaplicing for our values

where

a=y

b=5

A=y^2+2*(y)*(5)+5^2

A=y2+10y+25

answer is B
