They regulate medications to ensure safety for consumers before it is released to the general public. For example, it includes labels for what the medication is intended to treat, and risk labels for those who should not take the medication. This way if someone is allergic, or one who has a certain condition or family history, there wouldn’t consequent in allergic reactions, adverse reactions or side effects.
