Given the parent function below:


y=\sqrt[3]{x}

If it is vertically stretched by a factor of 3, then the function becomes


y=3\sqrt[3]{x}

And then reflected in the x-axis to become


y=-3\sqrt[3]{x}

It is finally translated 8 units down as shown below


y=-3\sqrt[3]{x}-8

The graph below showed the parent function and the new function

Please note that the red line represented the parent function, while the blue line represented the new function.

Hence, the new function is -3∛x -8
