A window frame in the shape of a trapezoid has bases 4 feet long and 3 feet long. It's height is 3 feet. What is the area of the glass needed for the window?

\text{area of a trapezoid =}(a+b)/(2)\cdot h

Where:

h= heigth = 3 ft

a = short base =3 ft

b= long base = 4ft

Replacing:


A=(3+4)/(2)\cdot3=10.5\text{ ft2}
