i don't understand why this is right, I don't understand why the LCD doesn't have all the twos when the prime factorization shows four 2's but the LCD only has three 2's.

Okay so the three 2s here are the factors of 8, there is no need to include all four 2s since the given set of factors already completes the factors of 8 and 14 . And we are are looking at the LEAST common denominator
