Solution

.The first property is talking about a set and its compliment

For example

If the Universal set U = {1,2,3,4,5,a,b,c,d}

A = {1,a,2,b}

then

A' = {3,4,5,c,d}

n(A) = 4, n(A') = 5, n(U) = 9

=> n(A) + n(A') = n(U)
