From th question, we were told that:

The Cameron family spends 3/10 of their budget on groceries.

They also spend another 3/10 going out to eat.

We are asked to find the fraction of the budget they spent on food altogether.

If 3/10 is spent on groceries which can be termed as food

And Another 3/10 spent going out to eat.

Hence, the fraction of the budget spent on food altogether is:

3/10 + 3/10

= 6/10

= 3/5

Therefore the fraction of their budget spent of food altogether is 3/5.
