I'm trying to find what m or the slope is with the given information. "y-4 = -(x+2)" I got the answer "y= -x+2" and I'd assume that -1 is the slope but I might be doing something wrong

The slope-intercept of a line is given by:

y=mx+b

Where:

m = Slope (x-coefficient)

b = y-intercept = Constant term

For y - 4 = -(x + 2), solve for y:

\begin{gathered} y-4=-x-2 \\ y=-x+2 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the slope of the line is:

m = -1
