There are various variations of chest stretches, like: the behind-the-back elbow-to-elbow grip, above-the-head, bent-arm wall, extended child pose, and side lying parallel arm. The one that increase the range of motion of the shoulders is the behind-the-back elbow-toelbow chest stretch that is made by the gently squeeze of the shoulders blades together bringing the arms behind the back and griping the arms to the front stretch (hold the arm in front of the body). Therefore, the alternative that talks about the position of the arms in this exercise is the one that put the arms out to the front, and parallel to the ground.
