y = 12x + 5

- 12x + y = 5

gradient 1 = -a/b

= -(-12) / 1

= 12/1

= 12

gradient 2 × 12 = -1

Gradient 2 = -1/12

y - y1 = m (x - x1)

y - 5 = -1/12 ( x - (-2))

multiply all, by 12

12y - 60 = - 1 (x + 2 )

12y - 60 = -x - 2

x + 12y = - 2 + 60

x + 12y = 58
