We are asked to find an equation that can be used to find 40 percent of 25. To to that we let's remember that when we want to get "x" percent of a quantity, we multiply that quantity by x/100, for example, we want to get, x% of n, we would do it like this:

n((x)/(100))

Following that formula, to get 40% of 25, we would use:

25((40)/(100))

And that is:

25((40)/(100))=10
