The same numbers of each coin have a total of $6.00. There arenickels, dimes and quarters. How many of each coin are there?

Note that :

A nickel is worth 5 cents.

A dime is worth 10 cents.

A quarter is worth 25 cents.

Let n be the number of coins for each coin type.

The total value is $6.00, then we have :


\begin{gathered} \$0.05n+\$0.10n+\$0.25n=\$6.00 \\ \$0.4n=\$6.00 \\ n=(6)/(0.4)=15 \end{gathered}

The answer is 15
