The expression for the volume of cone is,


\begin{gathered} V=(1)/(3)\pi(r)^2h \\ 48=(1)/(3)\pi(r)^2h \\ 144\text{ =}\pi(r)^2h \end{gathered}

Here, π(r)^2 h is nothing just the volume of cylinder.


144cubic-units=V_c

Thus, option (D) is correct.
