Area A= 10 cm2

Area B= ?

Isosceles triangle

12/4 = B/b

Area A = b x h = (b/2) x √4^2 - (b/2)^2

height h= √256 -

25= (b/2)^2• (16 - (b/2)^2)

find b/2= 1.75

Therefore b= 3.5

then now find B, bigger base

B = 3•b = 3•3.5= 10.5

Area B = BxH

H = √ 116= 10.8

Then answer is

Area B = 2 x 10.5x 10.8= 226.8 cm2
