The given equation is

4x+5=-8+2x+19

First, we reduce like terms

4x+5=2x+11

Now, we subtract 2x on each side

\begin{gathered} 4x+5-2x=2x+11-2x \\ 2x+5=11 \end{gathered}

Then, we subtract 5 on each side

\begin{gathered} 2x+5-5=11-5 \\ 2x=6 \end{gathered}

At last, we divide the equation by 2

\begin{gathered} (2x)/(2)=(6)/(2) \\ x=3 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the solution is 3.
