We can find the slope using the following equation:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

in this case, we have the following:

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)=(-3,-8) \\ (x_2,y_2)=(4,6) \\ \Rightarrow m=(6-(-8))/(4-(-3))=(6+8)/(4+3)=(14)/(7)=2 \\ m=2 \end{gathered}

therefore, the slope of the line is m = 2
