Find the slope of each line

1 Answer

5 votes

The slope of a line is given by the formula:

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

We need to identify every two points in the given graph:

(x1, y1) = (3, 3)

(x2, y2) = (4, -2)

Then

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(-2-3)/(4-3)=(-5)/(1)\rightarrow m=-5

Therefore, the slope of the line is m = -5.
