The minimum(the smallest number) = 1

The maximum(the largest number) = 17

The median(middle number) = 5

\begin{gathered} Q_1\mleft(\text{The median of the }lower\text{ half of the dat set}\mright)=(2+3)/(2)=(5)/(2)=2.5 \\ \\ Q_3(The\text{ median of the higher half of the data sets)=}(14+16)/(2)=15\text{ } \end{gathered}

2. Games per world series.

4, 4, 6, 6, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7

minimum = 4

maximum = 7

Median = 7

\begin{gathered} \text{first quartile = }(4+6)/(2)=(10)/(2)=5 \\ \text{third quartile=}(7+7)/(2)=(14)/(2)=7 \end{gathered}

3. Olympic medal wons

5, 5, 7, 8, 9, 13, 13, 17, 18, 28

minimum = 5

maximum = 28

\begin{gathered} \text{median = }(13+9)/(2)\text{= }(21)/(2)=10.5 \\ \\ \text{first quartile = }7 \\ \text{third quartile = 17} \end{gathered}
