Given the equation

2+2(3y-7)=-3(4y-1)+6y

Open the brackets on both sides

\begin{gathered} 2+6y-14=-12y+3+6y \\ 6y-12=-6y+3 \end{gathered}

Add 6y on both sides.

\begin{gathered} 6y-12+6y=-6y+3+6y \\ 12y-12=3 \\ 12y=15 \\ y=(15)/(12)=(5)/(4) \end{gathered}
