Steve has a rock. The rock has a mass of 7.9g and a volume of 3.0 cm3. What is the density of the rock? Round to the nearest tenth.

You can calculate the density using the following formula:

ρ = m/V

Where:

ρ = Density

m = Mass

V = Volume

So:

ρ = 7.9/3.0 = 2.633g/cm³ = 2.6g/cm³
