The table gives methane gas emissions in millions of metric tons. The quadratic modely = 0.0429x^2 - 9.73x + 621 approximates the emissions for these years. In the model, x represents the number of years since 2008, so x=0 represents 2008, x = 1 represents 2009,and so on. Complete parts a and b.a. According to the model, what would emissions be in 2017?According to the model, in 2017 the emissions would be ___ million metric tons(Round to the nearest tenth as needed.)Part B is only available after Part A is completed.

a. We want to find the predicted emissions from the quadratic model in 2017.

Here, x = 2017 - 2008 = 9. given that the function is;

y=0.0429x^2-9.73x+621

Inserting x = 9, we have;

\begin{gathered} y=0.0429(9^2)-9.73(9)+621 \\ \end{gathered}

y = 536.9 million metric tons
