V=\pi\cdot r^2\cdot h

A) To solve the formula for h:

1. Divide both sides of the equation into π*r²:

\begin{gathered} (V)/(\pi\cdot r^2)=(\pi\cdot r^2\cdot h)/(\pi\cdot r^2) \\ \\ (V)/(\pi\cdot r^2)=h \end{gathered}

B) You have the next data:

V=300πfeet³

r=5feet

Substitute those values in the formula you get in A) and calculate the h:

\begin{gathered} h=(300\pi\cdot ft^3)/(\pi\cdot(5ft)^2) \\ \\ h=(300ft^3)/(25ft^2)=12ft \end{gathered}Then, the height of the cylinder is 12 feet
