All ordered pairs in the quadrant 1 have positive values for the x and y coordinates.

The difference from points in quadrant 2 is that the points in quadrant 2 have negative values for the x-coordinate.

The points in quadrant 3 have negative values for the x and y coordinates, and the points in the quadrant 4 have positive values for x and negative values for y.
