Mile markers are being placed every 1/4 mile along a nature trail. If the trail is 12 miles long, how many markers will be along the trail?

Sonig, this is the solution:

Length of the nature trail = 12 miles

Place of the markers = 1/4 mile

Therefore,

We can place 12 / 1/4 markers

12 / 1/4

We use the multiplicative inverse, as follows:

12 * 4 = 48

48 markers will be along the trail
