the diameter of the circle is

D = 16 cm

so the radius is r = D/2 = 16/2 = 8cm

the area of the circle is,

A=\pi* r^2

put r = 8 and pi = 3.14

\begin{gathered} A=3.14*8^2 \\ A=200.96\text{ cm\textasciicircum{}2} \end{gathered}

thus the area of the circle is 200.96 centimetres squared.
