Frist we calculate the slope of the equation

\begin{gathered} m=(1-(1)/(2))/(16-8) \\ =((1)/(2))/(8) \\ =(1)/(16) \end{gathered}

Then we find the equation

\begin{gathered} a-(1)/(2)=(1)/(16)(s-8) \\ a-(1)/(2)=(1)/(16)s-(8)/(16) \\ a-(1)/(2)=(1)/(16)s-(1)/(2) \\ a=(1)/(16)s \\ s=16a \end{gathered}

Therefore the answer is C.
