\begin{gathered} -18x+6y=-6\text{ dividing equation by 6 on both the sides.} \\ -3x+y=-1 \\ -24x+6y=-18\text{ dividing equation by 6 on both sides.} \\ -4x+y=-3 \end{gathered}

Now, subtracting first from second equation,

\begin{gathered} -4x+y-(-3x+y)=-3-(-1) \\ -4x+y+3x-y=-3+1 \\ -4x+3x=-2 \\ -x=-2 \\ x=2 \end{gathered}

Puitting this in equation in first equation as,

\begin{gathered} -3x+y=-1 \\ -3(2)+y=-1 \\ -6+y=-1 \\ y=-1+6 \\ y=5 \end{gathered}

Hence, x=2 and y=5
