The sides of a triangle are 12, 15, and 20. If the shortest side of a similar triangle is 3. find the length of the longest side of the triangle.

For this case we can do the follwong:

For this case we can do the following proportion rule:


(3)/(12)=(b)/(20)

Where b is the longest side and solving we got:


b=20\cdot(3)/(12)=5

The final answer is 5
