F (x)=x^2+4 what is f(-4)

When we have a function, like F(x), and we want to calculate its value for an specific value of x, we replace x with the value and calculate.

In this case F(-4) is the value of the function when x=-4, so we replace x with -4 and calculate:


F(4)=(-4)^2_{}+4=16+4=20

Answer: F(-4) = 20
