Answer is x= 35

12 + 3/5x - 4 = 29

Combine like terms
12+(-4) + 3/5x = 29
8 + 3/5x = 29

Get rid of you fraction by multiplying by 5 on both sides
8(5) + 3/5x (5) = 29(5)
40 + 3x = 145

Subtract 40 from each side to isolate the variable
40-40 + 3x = 145 - 40
3x = 105

Divide by 3 on both sides
3x / 3 = 105 / 3
x = 35

And done

x=35
