The area of the figure is;

177.03cm^2

Here, we want to get the area of the given figure

To do this, we are to split the figure into its components

We have this as follows;

The upper triangle is a triangle of base (12.8 + 3.1 + 3.1 ) = 19 cm

It also has a height of 5.7 cm

Now, we are left with a rectangle of base 12.8 cm and height 9.6 cm

The area of the triangle is half the product of the base and the height while the area of the rectangle is the product of the base and the height

Mathematically, we have this as;

((1)/(2)*19*5.7)\text{ + (12.8}*9.6)\text{ = 54.15 + 122.88 = 177.03 }
