rate of change= slope

a) y=7x

Slope intercept form:

y=mx+b

where, m= slope

m=7

b) slope= y variation / x variation

m= 12/4 = 3

c) slope=

m=(x2-x1)/(y2-y1)

Replace with 2 points:

m=\text{ }(8-0)/(2-0)=(8)/(2)=4

m=4

d) by looking at the graph we can see that the line goes up 6 units(y) for every increase of 1 in the value of x .

m= 6/1 = 6

So, the rates of change are:

a)7

b)3

c)4

d)6

Biggest rate of chane is A. (7)
