In order to calculate the values of x and y, we can use the sine and cosine relation of the 60° angle.

The sine relation is the length of the opposite side to the angle over the length of the hypotenuse.

The cosine relation is the length of the adjacent side to the angle over the length of the hypotenuse.

So we have:


\begin{gathered} \sin (60\degree)=(x)/(10) \\ \frac{\sqrt[]{3}}{2}=(x)/(10) \\ 2x=10\sqrt[]{3} \\ x=5\sqrt[]{3} \\ \\ \cos (60\degree)=(y)/(10) \\ (1)/(2)=(y)/(10) \\ 2y=10 \\ y=5 \end{gathered}
